Dorothy Bird

Description

Dr. Dorothy Bird is a reconstructive microsurgeon who specializes in reconstruction after breast cancer surgery, as well as head and neck reconstruction, and extremity reconstruction. She is from the Hudson Valley of New York State. She earned a BA in Biology from Boston University and an MS in Physiology from Georgetown University. She attended New York Medical College for medical school and completed a general surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center followed by a plastic surgery residency at Cooper University Hospital. She completed her formal training with a fellowship in reconstructive microsurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She is board certified in general surgery and in plastic surgery.
