Haynes Cates, Jr., M.D., is a board-certified urologist. He practices at Christiana Care Urology in the Gateway Building at Wilmington Hospital. After completing a bachelors degree at Connecticut College, Dr. Cates received his medical education at Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia. He went on to complete his General Surgery internship and General Surgery residency training at Bryn Mawr Hospital. He then received specialty training during his Urology residency at Jefferson University Hospital. As a specialist in urology, Dr. Cates treats men and woman with urological diseases and conditions of the bladder, kidneys, ureter, urethra, prostate and testicles, including multidisciplinary care of patients with prostate care.
