Description

Dr. Cardenas matriculated from PCOM where he completed his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) and entered the PhD program. After completing residency, he underwent additional training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and obtained his PhD. At the conclusion of his Surgical Critical Care fellowship year, he was hired on staff at Christiana Care as a Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Attending. Dr. Cardenas is the Medical Director of the Surgical Critical Care Complex, Transitional Surgical Unit, Inpatient Acute Wound Care Service & Inpatient & Outpatient Parenteral & Nutritional Services. He is also the Program Director of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship.
